Privacy Policy
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site.
When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your email address. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To personalize your experience
(your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs) - To improve customer service
(your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)
FTC Regulations
We are regulated by the Federal Trade Commission of the United States. The FTC has enforcement authority over US companies failing to follow FTC regulations.
Do we use cookies?
No.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property, safety, or to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party. If we change this policy in the future, we will alert you and also provide individuals with an opt-out or opt-in choice before we share their data with third parties, or before we use it for a purpose other than that for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized.
Can other parties collect any information about you by your use of our software?
The purpose of our software is specifically to prohibit anyone from collecting personally identifiable information from you without your express consent. Therefore, our software will block surreptitious collection of your information, which can only occur if you assign permission rights to other parties.
May you ask to be forgotten?
Yes. Contact us by email and request to be forgotten. Once we confirm your valid control of the email account, we will permanently delete your account and any of your information from our system.
May you access your personal data?
We don’t maintain an editable or readable version of any data we may have collected. Typically, we request only your name and email address. That information is immediately hashed and the original version is forgotten. You may request to be forgotten, but we do not store any information that could be edited.
What do we do with your email address?
You supply us your email address when registering with our service.
We use the email address to send you an email to validate that it is your address. (You click a link in the email confirming that the email was received.)
We do not store the email address in a “readable” form. Rather, we convert your email address using a cryptographic algorithm known as SHA512. This conversion cannot be undone or reverted back to your original email address and it is not possible to discover your email address. We store this cryptographic version to facilitate your subsequent use of our services.
It is not possible for us to ever send you an email other than the first email, because we do not keep your email address.
It is not possible for anyone to steal or hack our systems and obtain your email address because we do not have your email address stored anywhere.
When you subsequently log in to our services, you enter your email address as your account name, but the email address is immediately converted using SHA512 on your computer before the form is submitted over the Internet to our services. The SHA512 converted version of your email is sent to our services. We never see your actual email address.
